Courses and Events
We often run courses that will help you explore the Christian faith as well as putting on events with the aim of having fun together and blessing those in our local community.
Hope Explored - this is an easy way to meet in a small group over 3 weeks and ask questions and hear about who Jesus really was. We look at the life, death and resurrection of Jesus in Luke's Gospel, this shows that Christianity is about real hope; a joyful expectation for the future, based on true events in the past. It is free, relaxed, informal and great fun. We would love you to come along.
Christianity Explored - this is a great way to have the opportunity to ask questions that we all have in small groups as we look at Mark's Gospel over about 8 weeks. It is free, relaxed, informal and great fun. You will not be asked to pray, sing or do anything else except come along with an open mind and of course those all important questions. Here's a question to start you with "If you could ask God one question, what would that be?"
Easter Egg Hunt - we run this community event every Easter Saturday. It's a free, loads of fun event for all the family with 100's of people following a trail of clues around the village (often bumping into Easter themed characters with goodies to give away), which ends with a short Christian themed video, face paining, activities for children and refreshments for all.
Clay Pigeon Shoot - this event is open to all men, regardless of whether they've shot a gun before or not. There's usually some friendly competition among the more experienced shooters but it's really a load of fun, and finishes with a BBQ, beer and a short talk from the Bible about God, faith and us.
Harvest supper - Every October we have a great sit down meal in the chapel. Delicious food, a glass of wine, friendly company, washed down with coffee and a pithy talk about God, faith and us.
Look out for adverts for these on the Home Page or contact us for more information.
