Why a new building?

Our current coffin shaped building was built in the 1830's. The shape and layout probably seemed like a good idea at the time, but now it seriously limits what we can do.
-
No large hall
-
Few small rooms that are accessible
-
No kitchen
-
Not wheelchair friendly
-
Limited toilet facilities
-
Limited parking
It has served us well, but now we are like a crab that has outgrown it's shell - it needs to be shed!
When we were offered a plot of land for a new building a few years ago we knew it was time to move. The plot, right next to the village primary school and well connected to the heart of the village, is large enough for a building that will provide all the current one doesn't, plus car parking that parents can use when they drop off children at school.
